Chapter 15

A week had passed since the incident at the Gamma fraternity house.

The Gamma Phi Ro Slippery When Wet Freakout video had been uploaded to YouTube and the clip of the screaming and sliding young men had gone viral with hundreds of thousands of hits.

A few of the more funnier moments of the prank had been turned into ten

Vines. The Vines had been viewed over a million times.

A dozen remixed versions of the video had also been uploaded to YouTube. The remixes were all viewed and commented on by the viewing public.

The Gamma House had suffered a bout of humiliating fallout from the recorded prank and the members of the slightly fallen house strutted around campus in an attempt to ride out the popularity of the social embarrassment.

Although no formal complaint or accusations were made, everyone one campus was made aware of the Kappa House's orchestration of the incident.

Everyone remained silent on that issue.

The Gammas accepted their defeat and the Kappa's remained ever vigilant of a possible retaliation.

The outdoor area of the Kappa house had been furnished with recently installed security cameras whose feed was monitored by an off-site security company.

Ted had access to all the video feeds on his personal laptop.

Anthony had the honor of reviewing any feeds that Ted thought may be suspicious.

Time passed.

And Greek life on campus resumed.

Midterms were approaching as the days grew colder.

And many of the students were looking forward to the upcoming Thanksgiving break.

"I'm feigning for some turkey son," Greg said as he chomped on a slab of turkey sausage in the middle of the kitchen.

There was a moderately sized dining room nearby that was amply and luxuriously furnished with oak tables and chairs. The room was large and airy. There were chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

Few of the Kappa brothers took their meals in the formal opulence of the dining room.

Most of the fraternity brothers ate their meals in the kitchen.

There were three medium-sized tables on the far side of the kitchen though many of the fraternity brothers who chose to have a quick bite to eat in the kitchen usually sat on the stools that were adjacent to the counters.

Greg was seated on a stool and he was surrounded by a few of his brothers.

William, Jake, Mitch, Tory and Bob were all seated on stools around him.

Each young man leaned over a plate of heated food they all had a tall glass of fresh squeezed lemonade.

The young men laughed and talked as they shoveled forkfuls of pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs hungrily inside their mouths.

The scent of a freshly prepared breakfast hovered in the air.

Soon, a large group of Kappa brothers had entered the kitchen.

There were no more empty stools at the counter, so the hungry lads walked across the kitchen and they sat at the tables.

The sound of sizzling meat echoed in the bright room.

Their cook, Mrs. Nesbitt, eyed the seated young men with a grin as she majestically ruled over the numerous pots, pans and skillets that smoked and sizzled atop the stove.
